"Hands-up and shaking" and "Hats off" to the 2006 chairperson, Janice Logan, hard-working committees and helpers to make this successful. The money proceedings (after all the expenses defrayed) will be donated to Camp Taloali's youth leadership program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children. We were also grateful to our sponsors who helped make this happen! The Sponsors were Sprint, Oregon Telecommunications Relay Service (OTRS), Sorenson Communications, Hands On Video Relay (HOVRS) and IP-Relay. NOTE: There will be WDT's 30th anniversary planning meeting in the near future. However, we will have a Family-style camping every year during Labor Day weekend in order to keep Camp Taloali preserved. It will offer simply old fashioned fun with few activities like horseshoe pitching, fishing, swimming in low cost! We will keep you informed (check the website) about the plans for the next five years! Betsy Burks and Charlene Ribera WDT Public Relations |
